198 Nautical Miles from Cuba… Miami Waterfront Property

Foreign investors and second home buyers often insist on “ocean view“.  After all, Miami screams lifestyle, outdoors, tropics, and paradise.  Waterviews increase the value of property exponentially, and esthetically, water is soothing.  If you’re looking for water,it’s everywhere…. seemingly endless options: Ocean, Bay, Canal, Lake, Intracoastal…

The sand and sea  draw many of us to South Florida.   Miami is, after all, not only a penisula, but an island off the southeast tip of the United States … in the Atlantic… only 198 nautical miles from Havana, Cuba.  Ocean views during the day can be spectacular.  At night that same view  can be either amazing, or a sea of endless black.  The closer you are to the ocean’s edge, the greater the impact of salt spray and residue.  Other than that,  would would deter from waterfront living?   Looking for a water view, where at night you see something more than just darkness?  Ocean views, with a sprinkling of city lights, are ‘findable”.   Numerous waterfront buildings on Miami Beach (from the Cipriani and Blue Diamond to the Icon, Murano Grande and Apogeee), and dotted all along the mainland …throughout the Brickell/Downtown area, and across the Venentian Causeway… offer spectacular combinations of lights and water. Property on the intracoastal allow for breathtaking combination panoramas.  A downside?  Salt spray and residue are an infinitesimal price to pay for that feeling of forever being on vacation.

Please leave your comments regarding waterfront properties, particularly any that you might like to share with us, with extraordinarily beautiful night views! Your thoughts and comments are always welcomed!
