A New Twist on Coral Gables Hospitality

The Ambassador Program is coming to Downtown Coral Gables. These Ambassadors will be like a concierge, but will be street-side. By the end of the year, the easy to spot Parking Enforcement Officers will be asked to participate in this program. directions in coral gablesThey will answer questions about the City and it’s history, they will provide directions to your favorite restaurant and hand out literature like maps or brochures, in addition to their regular parking duties. The officers will receive training in First Aid, Hospitality, City Services, Public Transportation as well as in Customer Service. The Ambassadors will wear bright clothing and will have marked vehicles, making it easy to spot them. The goal is to provide visitors and residents with a friendlier experience in Coral Gables. The program is supposed to be implemented by the end of 2010.

park playCoral Bay Park: Located at 1590 Campamento Ave, this 1.3 acre park features picnic tables, benches, a walking path, a playground and basketball courts.

Jaycee Park: The park is situated on 2 acres and has a tennis court, basketball court, a playground, pavillions, benches and a walking path. It’s located at 1230 Hardee Rd.

Nat Winokur Park: The half acre park is located at 150 Ruiz Ave and features a basketball court and a playground.

Pierce Park: This smaller Gables park has a playground, picnic tables and pavillions. Located at 101 Oak Ave.

parkSunrise Harbor Park: This park features tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic tables, a walking path and a playground. At just under an acre, the park is located at 25 Sunrise Ave.

Salvadore Park: The 3.7 acre park is also a popular tennis center, located at 1200 Andalusia Ave. There are covered picnic tables, swings, slides, a clubhouse and a playground. There’s also a large grassy area, perfect for dodgeball or other sports.

Phillips Park: Located at 90 Menores Ave, the 3.2 acre park has tennis courts, a ball field, a basketball court and a playground as well as picnic tables and benches.

Parks in Pinecrest

With summer still in full swing, what better time to enjoy the outdoors by visiting one of your neighborhood parks! Pinecrest has a variety of parks for your entertainment, six to be exact.

Coral Pine Park: This nine acre park has 6 lighted tennis courts, a recreational center, a playground and open field area. In 2001, the tennis courts were equipped with a $52,000 lighting system. Open daily from 8 am-10 pm and is located at 6955 SW 104 St.

baseballEvelyn Greer Park: A ten acre park with multipurpose athletic fields for baseball/softball and soccer, a playground, batting cages, community gazebo and recreation center. In 2001, the Village dedicated it as “Pinecrest Park” and was redesignated as “Evelyn Greer Park” in 2004, after Pinecrest’s first mayor. Parenting Magazine named it one of the best playgrounds in South Florida in 2005. Located at 8200 SW 124 St. Open 10 am-10 pm Mon-Thursday, 10 am-8 pm on Fridays and 8am-8 pm Saturdays and Sundays.

soccerFlagler Grove Park: The newest park to be added to the city, it features 3 acres of youth soccer fields and a playground. Located at 7551 SW 104 St, the hours are 10 am-9 pm Monday-Thursday, 10 am-8 pm Fridays and 8 am- 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Red Road Linear Park: This is a 2.5 mile lighted bicycle/walking path along the Snapper Creek Canal on Red Road. There are three rest areas enhanced with coral rock walls and landscaping along the historic road.

bballSuniland Park: Situated on 10 acres, the park has batting cages, athletic fields for baseball and football, basketball courts, a rec center, a playground and a gazebo. The Gazebo features Wi-Fi. In 2002-2003, the park received $1.2 million in improvements, including the new walking/jogging path, enhancements to the fields, and the new building and gazebo. Located at 12855 Pinecrest Parkway. Hours of operation are 10 am-10 pm Monday-Thursday, 10 am-8 pm Fridays and 8 am-8 pm on the weekends.

Veteran’s Wayside Park: This 4.5 acre park has a freshwater lake, picnic tables and open recreation areas. The park honors the service of the men and women in the Armed Forces. Located at 11111 Pinecrest Parkway, it’s open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Riviera Park…New Addition to Coral Gables

Allure of the MIAMI townhouse!

For a variety of reasons, villas and townhouses are a plausible answer to ‘what’s next?’ Whether you want to lock-up and take-off for a well-deserved romp around the globe… or  eliminate  entirely the hassle of maintaining a large home ( and grounds!)…  a townhouse can offer  freedom, without catapulting you into  quarters of claustrophobically minimal dimensions.  If you want  independence and elbow room …  and a condo is just too confining…the answer COULD BE  a townhouse.
